One-to-One Private Yoga Tuition

I am available to teach 1-2-1 private yoga sessions in your home in London (East London – including Hackney, Shoreditch and Canary Wharf – and Central London) or at few small spaces near Canary Wharf E14; in Bethnal Green E2; or in Hackney E9 near Victoria Park.

One-to-one private yoga is an incredible tool to deepen, build, or begin your yoga practice, or to focus on the healing and therapeutic benefits of yoga.

Private yoga sessions are very beneficial for focusing on specific health issues or physical conditions; to help develop technique; to support a developing self-practice; or as an on-going aid to personal health, fitness and wellbeing.
I have many years of experience of working with people on a one-to-one basis, and have worked with people with stress and anxiety, burnout, cancer and women’s health issues – including endometriosis and menopause – as well as a range of other physical conditions. I also offer 1:1 private yoga sessions to support your pregnancy journey and for personalised postnatal recovery.

If you are completely new to yoga you may wish to have some private one-to-one classes before joining a group class. The benefit of this approach is that it can be completely tailored to your personal requirements and you receive 100% attention from me.

A one-to-one private yoga session offers numerous benefits not generally available in a group class, as all of the focus will be on you and your needs. These benefits are relevant for the absolute beginner to the advanced yogi.

You can book a one-off class, a series of weekly classes or whatever works best for you.

Optimum results are achieved from a regular weekly class, ideally at the same time each week, so that you begin to make yoga a regular part of your life.

In a one-to-one private yoga class you can:

  • Learn short sequences, relaxation exercises, breathing exercises and strength-building postures to take into a self practice at home
  • Modify and adapt postures to suit the capability and needs of your individual body
  • Develop the skills and knowledge to take group yoga classes with confidence and safety
  • Ask lots of questions about things you may be confused about in your yoga practice
  • Deconstruct complicated postures and develop the strength & technique to practice them
  • Learn poses, breathing and relaxation techniques to help with specific health issues

Private yoga sessions can also be for a small group of friends, which can be a lovely way to celebrate a birthday, a baby shower or other special occasion together.

If you have any questions, would like to discuss costs or book a one-to-one or small group private yoga class with me, please contact me.

Corporate Yoga / Yoga in the Workplace/Office Yoga

Yoga can reduce stress, alleviate postural problems that result from sitting at a desk all day long and increase energy, positivity, focus, productivity and creativity.

Classes in the workplace are very beneficial and can be arranged for you and your colleagues, to recharge the body and relax the mind before, during or after a busy working day. They are also a great addition to any team building or wellbeing day.

Sessions can include a combination of mindfulness, yoga postures, breath work and relaxation, and are made accessible for people of all levels.

I am very experienced in working with people with common neck, shoulder and back pain that can arise from sitting hunched over a computer at a desk all day, and I have designed a specific series of poses to teach in the workplace to help prevent and alleviate these problems. These can also be done as Chair Yoga sessions, so there’s no need for lots of space or yoga mats.

Sessions can be delivered as a one-off class, half-day workshops or as an ongoing programme of weekly classes.

I have a great deal of experience of working with people in some of London’s leading companies including Deutsche Bank, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Allen & Overy, Nomura, Orange UK, the FCA, Merrill Lynch Bank of America and Wagamamas  so rest-assured you are in very safe hands should you wish to book a one-off or series of corporate yoga classes with me.

“Sarah taught a regular weekly yoga class at Freshfields from 2013 until the start of the first lockdown in March 2020. She was always very professional, reliable and friendly and had a very good rapport with those attending the yoga class.  She is a supportive teacher who always tried to make the class suitable for everyone attending. She also had a very intuitive way of teaching which meant she always had a very strong connection with everyone who attended the class. I would highly recommend her as a corporate yoga teacher.”
